One common method for propagating trees is through grafting. The tree peonies we offer are all grafted varieties that are 3/4 years old and no longer have nursery roots. This particular tree is young, with the graft being less than a year old. It is recommended to plant these young grafted trees at a depth of at least 6 inches. In 2 or 3 years, you will have a mature tree.
